Criccieth is a small, unspoilt seaside resort with two bays and from the headland there are magnificent views of Snowdon and Cardigan Bay.

Monday After a lunchtime stop in Llangollen, we continue via Lake Bala to Criccieth.

Tours whilst at resort

We head into Snowdonia and enjoy views of Snowdon as we travel via Capel-Curig to our first stop of the day in Betws-y-Coed, a village nestling in densely wooded hills. We then follow the pretty River Conwy to the resort of Llandudno where we make a stop. We return on a different route through the mountains via Blaenau Ffestiniog.

We join the Welsh Highland Railway at Porthmadog and travel to Bedgelert through the heart of the magnificent Snowdonia National Park. We then continue to have free time in Caernarfon before we return to Criccieth with a scenic drive over the Lleyn Peninsula.

A full day tour travelling south to Tywyn and the Talyllyn Narrow Gauge Railway where we will board for Nant Gwernol and return to Abergynolwyn. Our return is via Barmouth, where we make a stop, and the coastal road with views of Harlech’s famous castle.

Friday A very scenic drive home on a different route to the outbound journey, stopping in Rhayader for a lunchtime break.
