Day 1 North and we enjoy a scenic drive through the Lake District with an afternoon stop in Bowness overlooking Windermere. Later we continue to our overnight hotel, the Cumbria Park in Carlisle.
Day 2 Into Scotland and a drive through the Galloway National Forest. Then we have free time in Stranraer before we catch our ferry crossing to Belfast, our base for the next 2 nights.
Day 3 To the north coast and the Giant’s Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage site famous for its unique volcanic stone pillars and shrouded in folklore and fairytales. Then we embark on what is regarded as one of Europe’s ﬁnest marine drives along the Antrim coast road with its unspoilt views of the Irish Sea and Glens of Antrim.
Day 4 Into Eire and Ireland’s most historic region, the Boyne Valley that witnessed the bloody Battle of the Boyne in 1690. We have included a visit to the Battle of the Boyne Visitors Centre. Then we continue to our hotel in Bray just south of Dublin.
Day 5 A free day to explore the seaside town of Bray, or local trains run the short distance into Dublin every few minutes.
Day 6 We have a morning tour of the Wicklow Mountains before catching our ferry to Holyhead in the afternoon. From here we have an hour’s drive to our hotel, the Ambassador Hotel in Llandudno where we spend 2 nights following a late evening meal.
Day 7 We have a local guide on board all day for a tour of Snowdonia, travelling through Betws y Coed, Llanberis, Caernarvon, Beddgelert and much more!
Day 8 Homeward bound with an extended lunchtime stop in Chester.
