We experience the best of the North Coast of Cornwall whilst based in a hotel with fabulous Atlantic Ocean Views in a quiet part of Newquay, but with the town centre in walking distance. We even get to see some of the southern coast on our way to the hotel! This holiday and hotel and receive great feedback.
Monday Our first taste of Cornwall as we visit Looe, a picturesque Cornish Fishing harbour with a rich history.Tours whilst at resortA | We enjoy views of Mount’s Bay, overlooked by the beautiful St Michael’s Mount, before arriving at Land’s End where we make a short stop in this dramatic location. Then the coastal route to St Ives. St Ives is described as the jewel in Cornwall’s crown and has a picturesque fishing harbour.B | To Boscastle which for many years was the only accessible harbour in over 40 miles of craggy coastline and is full of history. Then to Tintagel, famous for its castle which is entwined with the legend of King Arthur and there is now an iconic bridge linking it with the headland. We haven’t included entry (as it is not advised for those with limited mobility) but we will be here long enough to give you time to visit. Or bif you would prefer to stay in the village, there is a myriad of shops and cafes to explore.C | A free morning in Newquay and later to Padstow, a charming fishing port and a foodie destination ever since Rick Stein opened his first restaurant here in 1975.Friday A different route home as we follow the Atlantic Highway through Cornwall and Devon to a lunchtime stop in the Devon town of Barnstaple on the River Taw, with its covered Victorian Pannier Market and famous ‘Butchers Row’.
