Shropshire has so much to offer, with its remarkable heritage and beautiful towns. And this tour is packed with 3 included visits so we can get the most out of this short break.
Friday We make our way to Shropshire and make a lunch time stop in Ludlow, which has over 500 listed buildings and a castle at its heart, often referred to as the perfect historic town. We then drive through the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty to our hotel.
Saturday To Shrewsbury, the county town of Shropshire with higgledy-piggledy streets set in a loop in the River Severn. Here we enjoy a 45 minute cruise with tea and biscuits before free time to explore the town. Later we visit the National Trust property of Attingham Park. The mansion is set in beautiful parkland by the River Severn which is home to a wide range of wildlife. The 18th century manor is being brought back to life in a project entitled Attingham Re-discovered.
Sunday The holiday isn’t over as we visit nearby Dudmaston Hall. A much loved home for over 875 years, Dudmaston is something unexpected in the Shrophsire countryside with enchanted wooded parkland and sweeping gardens.
