By doing away with the overnight stops we have managed to offer a great price on this action packed Scottish tour.
We are based on the banks of Loch Long and we enjoy a relaxing loch cruise plus take one of Scotland’s most memorable train rides past Kilchurn Castel and Loch Awe amongst other sights.
Sunday An early start and north to our hotel in Arrochar where we have tea and coffee on arrival.
Monday Enjoy a relaxing morning in Arrochar before making the short journey to Loch Lomond where we have a cruise which is a delightful way to see the ‘bonnie banks’. We are served tea and coffee on board and there is live commentary. Later we make a stop in the lakeside village of Luss.
Tuesday We board a train at Crianlarich and pass through the beautiful Glen Lochy then view Kilchurn Castle and Loch Awe before we arrive in Oban where we have a lunchtime stop. Later we continue to Inveraray for an included visit of Inveraray Jail and County Court, now a living museum where real people portray life in a 19th century prison.
Wednesday We witness some beautiful Scottish scenery today with an excursion to Perthshire. We travel via Crieff to Aberfeldy, Scotland’s first fair-trade town, and then onwards to the conservation village of Kenmore. We enjoy views of Loch Tay and the mighty falls of Dochart before returning to the hotel.
