Exmouth commands a wonderful position where the River Exe joins the sea. Devon’s oldest seaside resort, it is renowned for its red cliffs and has a long, level promenade with fine views to sea and along the coastline.


Exmouth commands a wonderful position where the River Exe joins the sea. Devon’s oldest seaside resort, it is renowned for its red cliffs and has a long, level promenade with fine views to sea and along the coastline.

First Day To Devon and a lunchtime stop in its capital town, Exeter.

Tours whilst at resort
a Staying local to Exmouth we visit two seaside towns. Firstly Sidmouth, an attractive resort beautifully set between red cliffs, and then the picturesque resort of Budleigh Salterton, an unspoilt and charming town containing many interesting shops.

b Around the Exe Estuary with its fine views to visit Dawlish and Teignmouth, two contrasting seaside resorts.

c A scenic circular tour today. We travel to Dartmouth and enjoy its beautiful setting between steep hills and the picturesque harbour. We complete the circular tour by crossing the River Dart and spending time in Torquay before returning to Exmouth.

Last Day We make a stop at the nearby Donkey Sanctuary. Entry is free but donations are greatly appreciated. We then continue home with a lunchtime stop in Wells
