First Day To Devon and a two-hour lunchtime stop in Exeter, full of character and ancient history.
Tours whilst at resort
A | We visit Dartmouth in its beautiful setting between steep hills and the picturesque harbour. Then a highlight of the holiday as we follow the picturesque coast road with great views of Blackpool Sands, known as nature’s golden beach with clear blue water surrounded by magnificent evergreens and pines. We also pass Slapton Sands, with its WWII tank, and Kingsbridge on a truly memorable drive. Later we stop in Totnes, a captivating town set on one of Britain’s most picturesque waterways.
B | To Teignmouth, a stunning coastal town with historic, Georgian buildings, long sandy beaches and fresh, local food. Then, in the afternoon, time in Torquay, a traditional yet thriving seaside town.
C | We cross the Tamar Bridge into Cornwall and visit the picturesque harbour town of Looe. It also has a beach and cobbled streets with independent boutiques.
Last Day We return home with a stop in Wells which has an historic centre, magnificent cathedral and a unique, moated Bishop’s Palace.
