Isles of Scilly

St Mary's

The Isles of Scilly are an archipelago of five inhabited islands and numerous other small rocky islets 28 miles off Lands End. With a total population of just over two thousand, an exceptionally mild climate, and countless golden sandy beaches, Scilly is a beautiful haven of peace and tranquility. Our base is St Mary’s where you can chill out watching the tide change, the flowers open and the sun shine. There is also plenty to do such as nature trails, bird and wildlife trips, local pottery, craft shops etc.

PLEASE NOTE: DINNER IS NOT INCLUDED ON DAY 1.

Wednesday We make our way to Cornwall with a short service station stop and arrive at the Hotel at approx. 16:00. Your evening meal is not included but there is a McDonald, Costa and KFC nearby. If you would prefer, at 18:00 our coach will run you to Perranporth where you would have an hour to get Fish & Chips or similar before returning to the hotel. We have chosen to visit Perranport as it is a great seaside resort and much more accessible than St Ives.

Thursday Our hotel provides a Breakfast Box and we make the short journey to Penzance to catch the Scillonian ferry for our 2hr 40 minute sailing to St Mary’s, the island where our hotel is based and where we are met with a welcome drink.

07:00 - Breakfast Boxes available at the hotel

07:15 - We depart the hotel

08:00 - Check in opens for the ferry

09:15 - Ferry departs Penzance

12:15 - Arrival into the Isles of Scilly

Days whilst at resort:

A A full day guided walking tour of the island of St Mary’s.

B To the island of Tresco for a visit to the world famous Abbey Gardens (boat fee and gardens included). Please note that the tour of Tresco is no longer guided around the gardens, but you will be met from the ferry and walked to the gardens where you can explore at your own pace.

Plus 2 free days on St Mary’s or maybe catch a boat to one of the other islands (not included).

Tuesday 
16:30 - Depart the Isles of Scilly
19:15 - Arrive Penzance and meet our coach for the journey home. There will be a 30-minute stop at Exeter Service station on the way home. You will arrive home in the early hours of Wednesday 24th August.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL GUIDED WALKING TOURS REQUIRE REASONABLE LEVELS OF FITNESS AND MOBILITY AND ARE SUBJECT TO LOCAL TIDES AND WEATHER CONDITIONS. SEA VIEW SUPPLEMENTS DO NOT APPLY TO THE OVERNIGHT HOTEL.
