First Day We head north and into the Southern Pennines for a late lunch time stop in Hebden Bridge. Surrounded by breathtaking scenery, this market town has been voted “greatest town in Europe”, “best small market town in the UK” and “fourth funkiest town in the world!” Then onto our hotel in Bradford.
Emmerdale Our guide takes us through scenic countryside where we will discover some of the locations used in the filming of Emmerdale. The tour includes a visit to the market town of Otley, known as Hotten in the soap. We continue to Esholt where much of the filming of Emmerdale took place before a replica village was built. The tour ends with a cold buffet in the Woolpack Inn with a star from the show. If there is time after the tour we will have free time in the rejuvenated city of Leeds.
Coronation St Our chance to explore the sensational external sets at MediaCityUK, open to the public for the very first time. Our 80 minute experience will take in Coronation Street, Rosamund Street and the newly extended, never before seen Victoria Street. Wander through Weatherfield on a fully guided tour of the working set. Recall stories from yesteryear, hear filming secrets, take selfies on the street and follow in the footsteps of your favourite characters. We will also spend time in Uppermill, surrounded by the stunning Saddleworth Moor on the edge of the Pennines.
Summer Wine We have a local guide on board to enjoy a tour of Last of the Summer Wine Country. Our tour takes in Holmfirth, where much of the filming took place and home to Sid’s Café and Nora Batty’s house.
Last Day We head home on the opposite side of the country with a lunchtime stop in the Peak District town of Bakewell.
