England’s second largest county is an outstanding area of ever-changing landscapes and exciting scenery. On this tour we visit the county town of Lincoln, dominated by Europe’s finest cathedral, in addition to the 3 included entries and boat cruise.
Sunday We travel towards Lincolnshire with a stop in Warwick.
Monday To Aubourn Hall where we enjoy a guided tour by the head gardener of the gardens and grounds surrounding this 17th century Manor House that is rarely open to the public. The remainder of the day is spent in nearby Lincoln, steeped in history and brimming with life.
Tuesday We spend the day at Burghley House, England’s greatest Elizabethan House. As part of the visit we enjoy a 90 minute guided tour of the house and gardens.
Wednesday To Rutland Water where we enjoy a leisurely cruise around the reservoir with an audio commentary from the knowledgeable captain! Later we visit Barnsdale Gardens where there are 38 inspirational gardens!
Friday Homeward bound calling at the famous town of Stratford upon Avon.
