Days whilst at Resort
A We visit famous resorts on the north and south coast of Cornwall. Firstly to Falmouth in its beautiful position and then to Truro, the county town. We return to St Agnes along the scenic coastal route through Portreath.
B We pass through Perranporth and then the journey continues on a scenic coastal drive to Padstow where we make a lunchtime stop. In the afternoon we visit Truro, the UK’s most southerly city and a vibrant centre of shopping, culture and impressive architecture.
C A tour to the tip of England, viewing St Michael’s Mount and Bay, then via Land’s End and the dramatic coast road viewing fine seascapes back to St Ives.
D To Falmouth with its magnificent natural harbour and the opportunity for a boat trip (not included). Later we call at Truro, a cathedral city of great character.
E Porthleven is visited in the morning, an intriguing small resort with narrow harbour. You then have the chance of visiting Helston, famous for the ‘Floral Dance’, or visit the Seal Sancyuary at Helford (admission not included).
F We call at Charlestown, a pristine unspoiled example of a Georgian working port. Poldark dock scenes are filmed here. Later we call at Mevagissey, a resort much favoured by artists for its great character.
Last Day We take a different route home and travel along the Atlantic Highway to the Devon town of Bideford.
